Like Russ said, it may just be that the cable needs adjusting

i went and "pinged" my cable like tapped it with my finger to see if there was any play when the clutch pedal is at the home position, its got no slack and very tight

What you need to do is to kneel next to the car, lean in the door, and wiggle the clutch pedal with one finger.

You SHOULD feel about an inch of travel that's virtually effortless before there's any real resistance.

Then, see where the biting point is. It shouldn't be right down at the floor, because that'll then not allow the clutch to release properly, making changes more difficult and increasing crunching. It shouldn't be way up at the top, because that'll put some load on the release bearing all the time, as if your foot was rested on the pedal all the time.

If it's anywhere within those two extremes, it's fine. If it's still slipping, it's mullered.

biting point - where id exspect it to be on a car about half way between fully down and fully off,

no play in cable its as tight as....

i doint know best how to describe this but ill give it ago,
a friend and i where driving down the road today, and i noticed when i was in 4th at about 40, if i put my foot to the floor the engine would rev really high (as if it wasn't connected to wheels) i then tested clutch, clutch is not slipping, and when i come off the gas pedal the revs drops (sounds like a auto transmition me and my friend where laughing our heads of) but at the same time it concerned me alot, i then got to the workshop, and changed my plugs, it seemed to run alright after this, but it was doing this wierd revvy thing for a few weeks, (like only a tiny tiny bit kinda you think oh well itll be ok)

Are you sure - and I'm not trying to be funny here - that it was properly in gear while you were doing this? If your car's only done 37 000 miles, unless it's been driven with the clutch on the floor all the time there should be around the same mileage again left in it.

Bought my car at 70,100miles, now done 189,300miles, same clutch, so should have at least another 100,000miles in it.
