Thinking about this some more, there must be a reason you're having so much trouble. I've got a chassis that uses bolts to hold the shocks on, and despite bouncing it off the road occasionally and having shocks filled with gear oil, so far(touch wood) I've not broken any of the shock bolts or had them come loose, and I do grease the threads. :?

I think its because i'm using after market bolts (£5 a bag of 50) and an assortment of washers.

After Spa, I'll order high tension bolts and proper washers from ecas.
