A bare wheel can't be beaten I think, although on the more luxury versions, I don't think a standard hubcap looks out of place, but IMO they look wrong on basic cars, specials, vans etc.

Yep - that was a pretty convincing pic!
BUT, in my defence, my intention was never to have them as pretend 'alloys', but to use them as blank canvases to continue the proposed colour scheme on to the wheels. Hence I'd be looking for unfussy flattish ones.
Just keeping my options open, y'understand!
In theory, then, they will fit. Just need to make sure they stand out further than the centre hub part of the wheel (wheee - that'll enhance their appearance even more...)
