I've got the Aldi compressor and the Argos tool set. The quick release fittings are the same.

Cheers, Knightly, that's useful. Does the Aldi compressor have a manufacturer's name? Any contact details in the instructions? Thanks.

If it's the same one as I've got (it came from one of the pikeymarkets - they're all the same...), then it's a Wolf Sioux, 24l air tank, 2.5hp 9.5cfm compressor.

(But mine's got a blue tank - and I didn't get the pikeymarket tool kit - I hit MachineMart for PCL connectors, tyre inflator, blowgun, schutz sprayer, hose and fleaBay for used Universal Tools drill and 1/2" rattlegun)
