I've just fitted it and added a metal clamp around the rear hanger to make it more rigid..

is it possible to make it too rigid?

i have not heard anything about it. but, if you think that the first hangar for the second silencer, if that has more play that the last hangar it might cause early failure in the swan neck just as easily.

You will get more swing further up the pipe from the swan neck ,hence the reason for tightening up the further one a bit. How much of a problem it actually is i dont know. Too tight is not healthy either.
