 Re: shorter headlamp bar
i cut them off below the top wing bolts... youl see next time whe i show you...
I think tbh, buy a narrow bar rather than make one... far simpler and less risk of it not being straiht or the wiring to do!

 Re: shorter headlamp bar
What? How hard is it Timmy? Cut the ends off, cut an inch out, weld it on again! Wiring is easy enough, just label it up before you pull it down the tube, only need to pull it down far enough so it doesn't get burnt.

 Re: shorter headlamp bar
Thanks for all the comments guys... I'm probably just gonna get it cut. Probably alot easier and quicker than trying to find an early 70s bar without paying silly £ for postage from France etc.... when I get hold of another bar ( i dont wanna take the one off the car and completely shit it up) i'll have a go...rather my dad will as he's the one that can weld

So take out 5cm either side and you are there. From this I2F thread

 Re: shorter headlamp bar
That's the one! So it was an inch and three quarter not an inch and a quarter as I'd remembered it. If you contact Bill Gale at Southport, he has a Luton van full of headlamp bars for sale. (literally!)
