Post breather pipe
To save me actually checking, can anyone tell what diameter bore the breather pipe from filler neck to air filter is?

Cheers,

Rumble

Cheers Griff! I was 15 miles from the car when I asked, so even at your rate it's still worked out cheaper.

Post Re: breather pipe
I'm running a 'hoon' filter at the moment (standard filter won't fit due to spare wheel being under the bonnet), with a small filter mounted on the breather/filler neck.

As a result, things have got a bit oily around the manifold area, so I'm looking for some suitable pipe to run down to the chassis leg or a bulkhead mounted catch tank.

I've not found many sources for 18mm i/d braided rubber pipe aside from this...

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Rumble,
maybe use a short piece of the original 18mm ID pipe to connect to some smaller tubing?

Iirc, some garden hose will fit, though you might have to paint it to disguise its origin... 8-)

A very short bit of 15mm copper tubing will give it enough strength for a jubilee clip to grip it all together.

ken.

Cheers Ken, I was thinking I might be able to try something like that. I've got plenty of garden hose and copper pipe - just need to find some carb breather pipe and jubilee clips. Will have a rummidge in the lock ups at the weekend.
