Post subject:  NE - Brierdene pub meet, Whitley Bay - Sunday 21st Aug
This Sunday there will be a pub meet at the Brierdene pub in Whitley Bay (on the North East coast). After the meet we will be driving through Holywell Dene (twisty country roads), then into Seaton Delaval, past Seaton Delaval Hall, up to Blyth Chippy, then back down to the Delaval Arms (another pub) which overlooks St Mary's lighthouse.

If someone brings a dyane or 2CV (D*lly? ;)) and lets me have a sit in it, i will buy them a drink :)

Currently the list of people going is - me in the Holden V8, a guy in a Triumph (another type of D*lly), and a guy in a Volvo 340.

You didn't fancy the trip down to Prescott in the Holden for the big Retro-rides gathering then Rustybus? ;)

was that the one in 2008 (at gaydon?) as i went to that one and have to say it was a bit boring wasnt it. Dont get me wrong, the camping area was great (cinema in a tent, and the 2cv with disco lights, lol), but the show on the Sunday was just too much like a typical meet in a carpark, and there wasnt anything in the museum for non british car enthusiasts.

the 2010 gathering was much better though, what with our own private track :D
