Shame really but hey ho.

It's because I wasn't there.

I must admit, for the couple of hours I spent visiting the site, I enjoyed myself, would have liked to have done the whole meeting but funds and personal reasons meant I couldn't.

I hope 2cvgb get their arses in gear and do something with the racing club. Maybe i2f should do something next year, like we'd hoped to this year.

I2F camp at Snetterton. Most of the infrastructure is there.

It might clash with the wm. If not, maybe we should have a word with 2cvgb, if they aren't interested and nobody can be arsed to do an international next year we should do. It's a pity the dates aren't released a bit earlier. Maybe we should just say 'fuck it' and do it regardless?

I don't know if what i heard was correct, but i believe some individuals? from Bristol expressed an interest in holding the international next year.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

An excellent meeting once again & once again it's always good to catch up with old friends & meet new ones. My neck is suffering from all that headbanging though :( Thanks to all concerned with the organisation & here are a few pics:

I agree about the lack of atmosphere - but what can you do to ensure its there?

And what is it anyway. I know what we'd all like - good tunes, good times, zero hassle.

Given that plenty of the members of 2CVGB aren't of that persuasion, it'll be down to us to sort our own events out if that's what we want.

ICCCR could be megadull unless we get on board. Wonder if any of the citroen tuning and modified boys would be interested? It's an all Citroen clubs event.

Post Re: 2CVGB International
What was lacking for me was a beer tent/marquee on the actual site. A place where people can go, sit down en masse & chew the fat, chill out and have a laugh. I missed the Thursday bad weather - but imagine if that weather had extended in to the weekend... We were lucky that we could stand around outside - but if it had been hammering down there was nowhere close for people to congregate. Beer tents are usually the heart of the meeting.

Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for the efforts put in by all those involved - i appreciate that it's a pretty thankless task.

I think you must've been at a different meeting to me. I had a whale of a time - and I didn't see you at all... (The two facts are not necessarily connected... <grin>)
