 Re: Spain 2013
Having just spent 2 weeks in Spain driving a Corsa 1.3 Diesel over 1200miles with air-con its going to be hot in a 2CV, hotter inland too! (Will be quicker in a 2cv mind you!) But, if you are sensible I think it will be comfy enough. Sun shade roof, better oil, clear oil cooler, heater blocked off, some kind of bumpers to assist the Spanish parking and a decent air filter should all help. A few points from Spain. Everyone smokes, everyone drinks all the time, denim shorts are in for the guys (i now have a pair of authentic Spanish market ones!), flip flops are a must. Women wear as little as possible pre-transition, tiny shorts or skirts, little tops and even less on the beach , post transition they sport a large spotty dress and a miserable face and sweep or mop the step outside the family home for fun. Look for for cigs, they are cheap and booze is too. A Euro for a beer is about right and only 20 cents over for a bit of Tapas The fuzz are very hot on drink driving although everyone seems to drink all the time they are only 1/3 pint glasses of beer or a small Fino. I was breathalyzed and was impressed to have a 0.00% PASS even though I had been drunk every afternoon/night for 2 weeks! Spotted 2 Dyanes, one in use, one waiting for re-use and a Mehari. Not great spotting TBH but we were very south. Looking forward to getting D*lly ready for Spain now, bring it on! Tim

 Re: Spain 2013
Need to do a major overhaul to the Ami then,,, things I now are: 4 new wheelbearings 2 new kingpins overhauling the Mehari 4x4 gearbox because of standing around for 8 years now 1-2-Spark ofcours..... But it is tempting isn't it and it worked in/to Greece +40 degrees........... (over 5000 miles in 17 days including 6 days WM) Need to pickup my Tropic roof then again!!!!! Would have space for my 1-2-Spark orange party tent also then...... and my little pittbike!!! Well give it a thought!!!
