 Re: French National 2010
Ola! Me and Sooz got back at about 2:45am this morn. Very very tired! Managed to stay awake though...just about. Alex had stop to have a nap at a services, so got back at about 3:45am. (Look at my precise times) I powered through, safe in the knowledge I was Battleship Champion. We had an ace time, even though the disco-gym was horrific, and the synchro dancing DJs made me feel a bit sick. Lovely to see everybody! When are you gonna get these IVF hoodies sorted then? peace. xxx p.s Joolz, didn't relise you had your own special yellow face. It's you!!

 Re: French National 2010
Just got back, spent the night parked up at Dieppe watching the sun go down. Didn't get more than an hours sleep and then found the ferry full of French school kids hell bent on getting themselves chucked overboard.
Lovely to meet you all, as with George I'll sort pics out when my ears have stopped ringing and I've had a deep soak in the bath.

 Re: French National 2010
arrived home at 03.11 this morning. Tried to get some kip in Exeter services car park but it really wasn't working out for me. Pulled into the fuel pumps got out & the door shut locking my keys inside (i locked up when i tried to get some shut eye)...
Managed to bend the right hand door out enough to jam my hand in & pull the wire for the left hand door release in the end. No damage!
I started hallucinating as got into Plymouth - not ideal. got to bed & all i could hear was the sound of a flat-twin being worked hard!
Enjoyed it to a point - think we've been spoilt by great events like Dunkirk in 2008 & CZ WM last year.

I had to think about that - then realised you meant the van doors... Nice and secure, eh? That'll be why our old Acad had a hasp for a padlock... After very nearly missing another channel ferry (and getting a bollocking off UK passport control in the process) - 100% success for the trip - we had an HGV pull out to overtake us on the M26 - straight into the car passing him. Then it all got very wet and we took an hour and a half to do the four miles to the M25... 10.30 by the time we'd got Sparky unloaded and tucked away. One big Calva and bed. Have to admit, the organising wasn't a problem for us - sure, there was a queue to get in (but the event had just opened). Sure, there were too few bogs (when weren't there?). Sure, we got a bollocking from pissed-off organisers (isn't that half the fun?). Sure, the organisers got the gendarmes in (just adds to the fun!). Sure, the music in the bar was shite (isn't it always?). But - even so - it was a site with 3,000 2cvs in and lots of drink and lots of laughs. And Dunk in a mankini. As for "no music in the camping area after 11pm" (don't forget - the 'mille gendarmes' incident wasn't because of noise, but because we were blocking the main road out of the camp so damned effectively) - we perhaps sometimes need to remember that not everybody wants to hear "We built this city on Rock'n'Roll" and "Ebenezer Goode" from six cars simultaneously 24hrs a day...

 Re: French National 2010
Sounds far too sensible an answer, as for the gendarmes, almost straight out of the site I got pulled and breathalysed. I'm kinda glad I held back from temptation that last night.
