 Re: Salbris 2011
More tomorrow. Haven't seen my bed for bastard ages and the missus is working so I think it's time to slap on a 'special' DVD and head to bed.

 Re: Salbris 2011
Here are my photo's. Not many this time, where normally i am the one taking them all, this time i relaxed more. http://www.spookeend.nl/citroen-meeting ... allery=169Had a great meeting, got in for free, it was impossible to pay the next day, and before i could get out my wallet i was given a bag with goodies. I know i'm Dutch, but trust me, i am not THAT cheap.... Arrived at 21:00 on Tuesday, and was sitting in front of my tent at 21:30, with a nice can of beer. On the way my engine broke, threw out all the oil, and with one spare engine of a friend that lived nearby, we were on a day later as planned, but arrived. Had some nice time in St. Mihiel where my chassis went bust, made a quick fix, and had a great time on the world meeting. Met many people, and some from here. Just walking up to people and asking them who they are is the most easy way to meet new people, love doing that, lol The stereo was on for many times, and my car got loads of attention (offcourse not trying to get people annoyed, but some came complaining after 10 sec in the middle of the afternoon..... ow well, just turned it down a bit) I got totally wasted on the second evening, and ended up in my own tent by sheer luck, hahahaha On the way home the gearbox went, and the clutch, so had to double clutch all the way, and i was glad to be on the motorway where i could be in top-gear all the way. So, got something to do in the winter, hahahahaha Thanks all visitors for a great time, and all volunteers too!!!

 Re: Salbris 2011
Well I had fun - not camping meant just popping in and out of the site and managed to check in on wednesday am with no queue at all. Met other thames tortoises putting up their tent in the registration field (the swamp) having given up on the wooded site they started with. Only downer was removing (quite comprehensively) the fog lamp and part of the towbar electrics on the ferry ramp. (I moaned at them and got the gallic shrug). Now superglued bag together until ecas opens next week. My fault I suppose for putting 6dozen bottles of loire's finest in the boot

 Re: Salbris 2011
just got back, queue? what queue? we arrived in salbris at 1530 on tuesday and were on the camping field by 1800 having stopped in salbris for a beer after registering thanks to the very nice chap who told us how to avoid the holding pens, we owe you. meeting was great after the initial arguing with the french over camping areas, shame about the thieving, i feel for those that had belongings stolen, toilets and showers stood up well considering the amount of people and thankfully the weather was great coz if it had rained it would have been like glastonbury. I hope every one got home ok, we had a puncture just south of rouen and a twat of a lorry driver tried to embed us into the central barrier of the M11 when he just pulled out on me, but otherwise ok.
