I was unaware there was online registration, I sent my money by post and got the ticket by post.

Lidl's open 9-1900 that day (well, they're not french are they!) but we don't need it to be open, just a big space to rendevouz

There is a bit on the website encouraging people to stay out of town beforehand, which says that "wild camping will be prohibited within Salbris", which I suspect means no one will be allowed to stay outside the gate beforehand. Might you have more chance of being able to get away with it if you arrive in dribs and drabs rather than en masse? Just a thought.

Had a chat with one of the organisers this morning. There will be no side of the road camping tolerated within the commune of Salbris and this will be enforced by the Gendarmerie [they are the cops that carry guns]

If you have not prebooked they are recommending that you don't arrive too early i.e. trying to blag your way in before the published times and dates.

They are expecting big queues even for those prebooked so bring your patience with you and expect a long wait. Remember all the organisers are volunteers [except the Gendarmes who are paid to look scary]
