 Re: Salbris 2011
We couldn't organise that if we tried, but part of the fun is wandering around meeting people and having a beer with each of them, nobody bites, so by all means say hi to anybody who's car you recognise.

 Re: Salbris 2011
I've managed to not bitch about something that happened when arriving at the meeting in -09, but now I feel the need to let it out. Something about over 5000 pre-registered triggered it I'm wondering how people feel about the ones that rush into the meeting area, find a field, park the car and then tells anybody else to bugger off, because this field is concuerd and is reserved for people of his country.... WTF?! How friendly is that? There are 5 cars on a field the size of a football-field, and then nobody else can camp there, because it's "reserved"?! If this is normal, I think it's a sad thing. Why not be open to the possibility to meet new 2CV-friends on a meeting like this? And why so scared to get "strangers" close by? Of course, that a group of people want to camp together is natural! I do it myself. But a few people "reserving" a BIG pice of a camp-ground for lot's of people arriving later, that's not nice at all, I think. It kind'a ruins the illusion of the big, happy, international 2CV'ing family. I would like to hear some thoughts on this And by "just saying it", it might help make people think twice before they forbidd other people to camp close by on "they're" camp-ground. There, I bitched about it. But hey ho, as long as there is room for everybody, I'm happy

 Re: Salbris 2011
I agree with you Eirik, I can see both sides. If people want to 'reserve' the area around them, then the best way is to turn the stereo up loud as soon as they get there, that way other campers will know if they are going to enjoy having their tent nearby.

 Re: Salbris 2011
Really looking forward to the meeting. Preparing the old ragged 2cv for it! More gear into the car, making it a nice drive!! Hoping to finish the sub-project before i go, otherwise i'll put my old sub up again instead. Hoping to meet many new people, so, don't hesitate to ask for a sit-in

Looking good Spookeend, I see you left hand drivers have much more room in the drivers side footwell for speakers.
