I haven't. Just printed off all the pre-reg details. Getting the newsletters is obviously a good sign that things are all OK.

I registered some time ago. Have received receipt/ticket and long sticker, but no emails. Maybe my ISP spam filter has blocked them. At the moment they are just ditching spam, so can't check. Any useful info in those emails?

Post Re: Salbris 2011
Heres the january one;

HAPPY NEW YEAR !

All the 2 2cv France 2011 organizing team wish you a happy and prosperous New Year. 2011 will definitely be the year of the 2 2cv !

Dear 2 2cv Friends,

The 19th world meeting in Salbris is getting close. We are in the last lap (almost) and we are doing our best to get the greatest 2CV meeting of all time. We are pleased to send you the latest updates about the meeting

Online Booking now available

Since late November, you are able to pre-register online on our website : www.2cvfrance2011.fr

Secure and fast payment by credit/debit card: you will not have to bother anymore with bank transfer and their outrageous fees, especially if you live outside the Eurozone.

Increased rates after january 31, 2011 (One month extension)

Because of the late implementation of the online booking, we have extended the low pre-registration rates deadline to January 31, 2011. After that dates, rates will increase, so hurry up for registering at a lower cost before that date. You can do it online (see above). Please spread the information to your club members and national 2CV forums.

Early entry for pre-registered participants

Pre-registered participants will be able to access the campground and the meeting site from July 26 in the morning. Other (not pre-registered) participants will have to wait until 5:00pm. Please note (and spread the word) that for security reasons, no access will be permitted before July 26. If you foresee to come early, plan accordingly (there are plenty of campings and accommodations around or stay at the Border Meetings (see below)

More than 2000 pre-registrations received on December 31

By December 31, we had already entered 1386 cars and 4126 participants in our database, mainly coming from France (747 cars), Germany (152 cars), UK (105 cars) and 23 other countries, but more than 600 forms have piled up on our desk waiting to be entered, leading to a total of more than 2000 pre-registrations received ! But do not worry; there is plenty of space on our 60 hectares (120 acres) campground to accommodate everybody.

To help you, a call for volunteers has been launched in France

To run such a big event, we will need a lot of volunteers. We expect at least 300 volunteers available round the clock to make a formidable event for our foreign 2CV friends.

Amenities booked

We now have contracted for all the amenities: more than 100 showers and many more toilets will be available. We know how it is crucial to keep them working and clean throughout the meeting and are building teams of volunteers and contractors so that you will not be disappointed. But remember (and spread the word in your clubs), cleanliness is everybody’s job!

Temporary radio set for the meeting

A temporary FM radio will be set with music, information, news and anything of interest for participants during the meeting. So stay tuned!

Welcome at the borders

Several French 2 2cv Clubs will welcome foreign 2CVers at key entry points in France. We already have clubs in Perpignan (south of France); Maubeuge (north) ; Toul (north east) ; Belfort (east) ; preparing border meetings and expecting answers from Amiens, Landes and Strasbourg. On July 23-25, they will provide camping accommodation and activities for local and foreign 2CVers on their way to the world meeting. Stay tuned on www.2cvfrance2011.fr for more information as well as GPS position soon.

Any candidate for 2015 ?

So far, we have heard of only one potential candidate country to host the 2015 World Meeting. Any country / club interested; please feel free to contact the organization should you have any special need.

The first World Championship of 2CV Dismantling/Rebuilding

The world meeting will host the first World Championship of 2 2cv dismantling and rebuilding. Everyday, one or several engines will be dismantled and rebuild in the shortest period of time! All the countries are called-in to participate in this challenge for a run-up to a complete 2CV dismantling and rebuilding show on Saturday July 30. Feel free to contact the entertainment committee (animation@2cvfrance2011.fr) for enquiries and registrations.

A petrol-free 2CV challenge

Everybody knows the 2 2cv runs on fossil petrol. Leaded fuel is gone, and RON95 is going away. We would like to present as many as possible cars running on alternate fuels: gas, electricity, pantone system, hydrogen, fuel cells, bio-fuels… if you drive such a 2 2cv or is working/designing such a car, contact animation@2cvfrance2011.fr for applying to the no-petrol 2 2cv challenge. It will consist of several fun tests to check for the performances of your car. Participation will be limited so you need to pre-register.

2 2cv Museum

We now have found a solution to have an indoor museum. Expect to see cars never displayed before! Do not forget your camera and plenty of memory sticks!

Post meeting raids

Three post meeting raids are already planned, one will take participants to discover the diversity of French vineyards, one will take participants south and one will take them toward the Loire Valley and Brittany. Some more may be added in the run-up to the meeting. During the meeting itself, several raids and journeys will be proposed as well around Salbris and in the region.

Post Re: Salbris 2011
need some help with the online booking, i added one to my cart (65 euros) proceeded to pay using my dads credit card (encase anything dodgy happens its covered) but when it got to the point where you authorise the card with your bank it failed. something about trying to register the card to many times (something my dads done by accident in the past  ).

so now my order status on my form has changed from pending to Refunded, does this mean i have to purchase another ticket? :?

Should be able to work that one out by checking the bank account, if the money's been out and back in,then yes you would need to re-order ,if it's been taken and not put back in ,then you're as confused as me, i.e slightly more confused than scooby-doo!
