Frankie might not be that delighted to know, since I think she's still got it - she was at Reg last year.

D'Oh! Of course, I saw her at Storrington the year before with it, too!

Top pics, I was only at the camp after the run, my mum went in a charleston with a friend, Tony White, I seem to recall it was fitted with a large elephants trunk and ears, Tony went (iirc) as some sort of jungle native and me old dear went as an explorer with a pith helmet and khaki shorts on. They won the fancydress and got to shake hands with the limp wristed Lionel. I couldn't be there for the run as we were racing a mini that weekend, which I totalled and stuck a lad in hospital.

These are the things I can remember about the Fyffes charity safari.

Oh yeah, what happened to the banana car? I think it was on non-uk plates?

I was there. Won the boot lid in the raffle, and it's still in my lock-up now.

Don't. i was 18 at the time!

Have a look at Harry's pictures, the 5th one down has a picture of OCH 163W.

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1244&start=130

There's also a OCH 161W that's still around too. It featured in the magazine around September/October last year as a double page picture. So i guess it could be that one?

It will be OCH161W - the "other" one. It did/does belong to members of the Hillhoppers, and it has had its shell and panels changed for lagoon blue ones.

Haha! I got my copy of the video out earlier, not watched it yet. I also found the 89 and 92 London to Brighton videos.

Your Mum & Dad are interviewed on the 'official' video & you're in the background!

Have you got a copy, I remember the event but not the interview.

I have the teeshirt somewhere!
