Post subject:  My AZU

This is the new 4 wheel love of my life, she is a 1962 AZU, imported into the U.K. in 1992 she needs a bit of TLC, but is basically a good un. I bought her last week and I am very happy with her....Hope there are some AZU experts out there that can assist when things get hairy....all the best.....Tony ;) ;)

I want to get her running a bit better than she does at the moment, then I will start a gentle restoration keeping it as original as possible. I am semi retired ( posh way of saying unemployed ),so I have plenty of free time to work on her ( wife's list of jobs aside), but limited cash flow at the moment. I am aiming to do the London to Brighton in her next year. I have had 7 x 2cvs of various types over the years, with my last being a beautifull Grey/Grey 88' Charleston that is now a Lomax Lambda in France somewhere.....cheers.........Tony ;)

Tony,
very nice van, but just how high is the front ride height ?

If you adjusted it so that the normal 'tail up' attitude is restored, I bet it will be much more pleasant to drive... ;)

ken.

Looking nice, Tootsie.

Is it all "proper" 1962 bits? 425cc, chassis mount pedals, banjo brakes etc?

Hi Ken thanks, yes she is a bit high at the front, do you know what the correct height should be?, is it the same as the cars?....She is already earning her keep,as my wife has me shuffling back and fourth to the dump with the garden rubbish....all the best.....Tony
