Post Cloverleaf 1925
As demanded by Geo here a post about my 1925 C3 Cloverleaf. I found the car in the next town in the edge of the garage owned by a TVR enthusiast. The only thing he managed to do to the half broken apart car was loosing the special nuts that hold the rare Ricardo cylinderhead. The car was on VW beetle wheels and there was a rubbish interior in made from a beetle backseat. Half off the work that the several owners since 1965 had tried to fit in went straight to the bin.

The car was bought almost completely taken apart. That made it a very big 3D puzzle. I first took a lot of time searching informations of all kind. Then i got time and place to take body off to check. I hoped i could replace a few wooden parts but it turned out to be almost completely eaten by woodworms..

sorry but I like the first picture, didn't know that the car was like that when you bought it.... It looks like a little racer to me in that way...

De body could not be saved and the panels were dismantled and will be used for reparation of other metal parts like the wings. A new body was ordered in france.

Yes it is al very simple, but you have to learn almost everything again. All is different than in a "modern" car like the 2cv...
After the chassis the wings were attacked. The older version flat wings can be bought new. But i had the last model with rounded wings. Nothing available. It took me 2 months of welding every evening to get it right. One wing had 3 patches welded over each other. The original metal was completely riddled with holes. Here one of the better edges...
