Well I've got it.

1. The journey would have been better with brakes. I found a few pumps made it do something.

2. It stalled whenever you came to a halt, and then wouldn't start for five minutes

3. It popped out of gear at one point, no idea why.

4. There was a police car parked in a side road which made everyone in the queue of traffic slam their brakes on, see points 1 and 2 above.

5. Its having a little oil wee on the road outside.

To summarise I flibbin love it.

Pics to follow.

The only thing that has really upset me is that I can't get those vile back wings off, may need to drill out the fixings on the front edge.

Yes, its lovely. LHD: somehow it feels like it was meant to be like that, almost like they designed it that way round in the first place ;)

Its fabulous, it looks great, it sounds great. It went surprisingly fast too (as much as you can tell with no speedo!) to say it had the best part of the front half of another 2cv in the back (engine gearbox axle and swing arms).

Got lots to do on it before I can go out in it though, time to call Roy methinks.

Louise,
iirc, one of the handy little details about LHD 2cvs is that the speedo cable can be changed without the need to remove the instrument panel. Take the battery tray out instead...
