So, Willamis Ami6 had a much shorter stay with me than I thought it would, and I rather fell for this at Goodwood Breakfast club last weekend. The owners were rather taken with the Ami as it's quite a practical old hector and much more useable. We discovered we only lived two roads away from one another and met for a chat about it. The upshot of it has been that they've now got the Ami6 and I've got the ENAC! Hopefully, they're going to be very happy with the Ami as now it's been repaired and fettled a bit it's quite a good car, but alas it hasn't really set my heart alight. This, on the other hand, is something I've wanted for years, apart from the non-suicide doors it's absolutely perfect, and i can overlook that minor issue. I've only driven it home and round the block, but it's surprisingly nice, at least, much nicer to drive than I thought it'd be. The trafficlutch makes maneuvering really easy and although it seems to have a bit of clutch judder on the normal clutch it's quite easy to drive.

Looking forward to commuting in it, and taking on the french national. I can see no bastard is going to want to convoy with me now, but I'm very keen to get the roof rolled open, light a Gitanes and kick back behind the wheel, albeit with a queue of traffic behind me.

Have some photo's

The nipper loves it, because it's 'really wobbly' but it's got no seat belts, so driving it with her in the car made my arse twitch a bit, I might have to retro fit some belts in it, and I might whip the engine out tomorrow lunchtime and have a scope at the clutch. Aside from that, and they're trivial issues anyway, I'm as happy as a chien with two dicks. I just want to be out there driving it!

Thanks Tom and Neil, it's had a really nice restoration but thankfully the outer paint has been left deliberately which is much nicer than any shiny car. Our latest member 'mehariman602' is Mike, the guy who now has the Ami. I hope he keeps us posted on it's future trials and tribulations!
