Feel my pain that my red queen had to be sacrificed for the AMI - my only consolation is she went to a loving home :(

Surely this means I2CVF needs a dedicated Ami Page!!! There are more coming about every month or so....

just got the ami (eggbert)MOT,d and what fun i had gettin new/re-silvered headlamps, and the only other thing needed was a new drive shaft gaiter. well i was lookin forward to a summer of care free chugging around when satan farts in my face once more!! the bloody clutch has gone and the gearbox has decided to throw the towl in as well, would have to happen while im currently out of work. HURRRMPH :(

must be the season for Ami 6 clutch / box problems. I had to replace the clutch on mine just after Xmas. Never done one before on any sort of car - was relatively easy once you get access. If your gearbox needs replacing, now might a good time to consider a more modern box that wouldn't need the shite static (aka graphite) thrust bearings.....from what i can tell, they last about 2 years.... :x

If you do decide to stick a later 'box in let me know. I've just done the same job on my Ami and am pretty clued up to the trials and tribulations of the job ...

Thats great to know, but at the mo im scinttypoo but ill bear it in mind any help from the fine body of men and ladies that you all are would be greatly appreciated. Got to be up and running for L2B, if im there please come and say hello, you cant miss me as i look like giant haystacks covered in tattoes. watch this space :D
