Here are some pictures of my Charleston in its final moments. I was going to turn it into a pickup, since it appeared to be mostly the back end that was rusty, but as I stripped out the shell it became increasingly apparent that the front end was just as bad. Everything was rusty, except the new (ish) bits - sills and floors - which had been badly fitted with the aid of lots of filler. In the end, I didn't really have to cut it up, it just sort of folded neatly away with very little effort on my part. Most of it is in a bucket outside my house now, waiting to go to the tip.

Someone had made a horrible job fitting the new sills
So there it is. Possibly some of you would have saved it, but I really haven't got the money, the time or the space and I'd rather keep the mechanicals (which are pretty good) for any future A series acquisitions. If nothing else, this series of photos should at least give people an idea of where the rust can take hold.
