Oh shit Tom!!! what a pain in the arse!!!

I got mine with a tow bar - thought of taking it off, as they are quite ugly - my mate warned me not to...for just this reason...glad chassis is good and floor pan...

i think the lights are quite common, so that's something

have a good weekend - i know if i lived in Holland, I would be!!!

car keeps on going, only the coils needs replacement.. It's hard to start the car when the engine is hot. Going to put the coil that was in the car when i bought it back in it. Replaced that one with the current coil because I thought it was a Visa-coil (had some brown/orange markings on it, nu this was just paint orso).

Hope that'll work. Or else a new coil :)

Had the car on 120km/h GPS today, little wind from the back, on a flat road :) Not bad for a 42 year old car :)

Hi Tom

Mine won't start when hot either - Sean and a few others on this forum suggested - foot to floor, start it up, no problem - works for me....

I've driven mine nearly every day for the last two and a half years, it was off the road for 2 months with gearbox trouble, but apart from that it's never, ever let me down - never had to get out and walk...

Keep on keeping on..... :)

Know that Will, but the coil, when hot, is beyond that point I guess. It's an old coil from the pick up, wich I replaced because of problems with starting with a hot engine.

Haven't replaced the coil yet, had to much fun Solexing around town the past days.. Maybe tomorrow.

Speedo cable just broke, or came loose behind the dash. It was making noises and moving all over the place of the speedometer. Now did around 20km/h in 4th gear on a highway overtaking everything. Good for the milage for the insurance (insured for 7500km/year and already did around 7200 in 6 months), but bad for speedcamera's.
Will be fixed when the temperatures get a bit higher, untill then my sat nav will show the speed (or just guessing)..
