Re: 1968 Ami Club Break Your Ami is looking so cool Tom! loaded up makes a great picture....i've got to take the back and passenger seat out of mine to get an Ampeg 8x10 bass cabinet across town....that's going to test the suspension - and the suspension will pass!!! tell me more about the Dutch Ami Club - i can't access their website at the moment.... cheers Will Tom Duckpower wrote: We got a new secondhand dinner table and seats today, so started the Ami to collect it. Re: 1968 Ami Club Break What do you want to know about the Ami Club Will? It's a club for Ami and Ami based cars (AK350, AZAM6, M35). They have a warehouse with all sorts of parts, new and used. 5-6 times a year they send out a magazine with meeting information, news, stories. Haven't been to a meeting yet, but this will happen sometime. Once went to the warehouse for some parts, and all the folks there were very helpfull. And the suspension, works great, even with a full boot and table on the roof. Seats weren't that heavy, but the table is

Re: 1968 Ami Club Break Got the Ami running properly today.. Last month I bought a Club Cassis electronic ignition.. Placed it in 1,5 weeks ago, but it didn run well with the iginition set as the booklet says. By turning the ignition and with the starter going round got the engine somekind of running nice. Didn't trust the setting, so borrowed a proper 123ignition from a friend, and put this one in this morning. Now the Ami is running nice, but idle speed needs a bit of tweaking. Drove up to the tyre centre to get the old tyres (1 firestone slick, 1 125 michelin., 1 135 michelin and 1 145 michelin) replaced by 4 new Toyo's.. Car is ready for the lap at Spa now...

Re: 1968 Ami Club Break This morning a peugeot from a driving school didn't brake as hard as I did on the highway, wich ended up with an 206 with a badly damaged hood and bumper and an Ami 6 with a bumper that has bend a bit, two broken rear lights and a small dent in de right fender..
No chassis damage what so ever, thanks to the towbar....
