I'm tempted to remake the inner/outer bulkhead from the thinnest steel I can lay my hands on, along with a few other bits. I like the idea of cutting boltheads down, the wiring loom will be made as short as possible and the bare minimum possible (enough to start the car, run the brake light and anti crash light and nothing else.

I'll go and have a really good look at the shell and speak to Sebfou about what's allowed.

at about 0.5mm citroen beat you to the thinnest metal for the bulkhead!

drill the bolts?
use a motorbike battery at about 1/3 of the size of the c5
altho the ducellier alternator looks tiny its actually of a similar weight to iskra which are much more reliable

rotating and unsprung weight loss important, use old hubs withthe 3 holes? dont use hub carriers with batteur brackets, speak to Mr Archer about skimmed disks
cut the cover part off the shockers

Sounds good to me, although bike battery is against the rools. Shame as I 'found' a nice ally battery tray that'd be perfect for a bike battery on a 2cv. I'll find a home for it I'm sure...

Small update:

Moving in with the bird, building the red 2cv and changing jobs put the brakes on this for a while. I'm about to approach the landlord at work about renting a small container/workshop opposite my employers and I've been hunting down a spot welder, so assuming these things happen I'll be able to resume work and hopefully get the car running. I'm off to see Seb'fou the week after next to collect the roll cage and ami8 chassis I need so it's looking like there's a glimmer of promise with the old thing yet...
