 Re: My new car ...
Right. My other half is working away from home today, so I've taken the opportunity to get the engine in the house and build it up in the (comparative) warm and dry. I've helicoiled a new thread for one of the manifold studs, changed the rubber cowling for tin and put a Dyane fan cowling on it. It's all ready to drop back in now. Before it goes in though, I'm going to bleed the brakes, since the bleed nipples are easier to get to with no engine. And I can't do that until Ms RT returns, unless I can find my easibleed kit (unlikely). So it looks like she's going to catch me with the engine on the dining room table after all ...

I've tried to explain before now that putting distributor caps and plug leads in the dishwasher cures misfires and consequently saves money by not needing new parts. Either my powers of persusion are failing or there is a simple refusal to listen to reason........

I tend to find that sort of thing isn't *directly* a problem (although turning the washing up brush black is never too popular). It's just that everything else I do that day will be wrong!

 Re: My new car ...
has lenny cut all the bits where the plates sit etc, this woule allow the engine to go through succesfully!!
i could take an old engien into work and use the industrial dishwasher (2 minmute cycle!) and do it about 100 times over but i dont think it would go down well!!
