Throttle pedal pivot rusted, if the car's been standing for a while?
Throttle cable frayed or sticking?
Check that there's enough free play in the cable, spray WD40 around the carb spindles and work it fully open and closed by hand.

Is there enough free play at the clutch pedal, it should be around 20 to 25mm?

Its still revving the nuts off it.

Also I have a new problem, it feels like its riding on the clutch for ages almost as though my foots half down still on the pedal. Its a new clutch not too old anyway. Any ideas?

Just fix these little problems and then get on with doing paid work. Customers waiting.

Right, somthings not right on this.

Took it out to work today, Theres no power in it at all, I have tried messing with the clutch cable, if i loosen it of anymore theres nothing there.

As soon as im off the clutch it is as though i am still on it. Then i twigs and carries on. But then does it again if i'm off the throttle.

Could only get to 50 on way home. The Van is quicker.

I now know how oboe feels.

Bring it down and we can have a clutch changing race.

Max,
best not to drive it too much if the clutch is jiggered, as you might end up needing a flywheel swap as well.
If the flywheel friction surface is overheated, it can warp, then there'll be clutch judder no matter how many new clutches are tried... :(
