 Re: Yet another red spesh...
After one abortion, I've made the framework for the seat. Thanks to Chris2cv who came through with a set of frames.

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Nice work Russ! Will you place some foam on the frame? Or just sitting hardcore on the frame?

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
I've got a steering rack to modify, it's an old frotteur one so needs the lugs cutting off it but that's no major deal. I'm going to remake the gearbox mounting on the bench and make a recess in the bulkhead to allow the box to move back a fair bit. At some point this week...

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Although I've not really been feeling the love for it right now, I've had the car in work and polished it this week, it looks much better for it, although it's still in desperate need of a new shell or a respray. That won't happen any time soon though. To get the engine and box further back I've cut a hole in the bulkhead, which will also allow me to weld the new gearbox mount on without removing the rack. The engine now sits behind the front crossmember, although only just, I still need to modify a few bits to make sure it's not touching the crossmember. The gearbox mount will now now sits just inside the car. The sump is a bit low now but I'll make a guard up so I can still have it low. Not sure how I'm going to make an exhaust up, Joolz, are you still in the exhaust game? Oh, bollocks to making your own seats, I'll just buy some. Life's too short.
