Stunning! If i was wearing a hat, i'd be taking it off right about now! Thanks for keeping your thread updated, Old-Nail, I've throughly enjoyed reading about your trials & tribulations, as many have. Just a shame it's finished! Hope you'll stick around & keep contributing... Neil.

 Re: My old Blue Bamboo
Thanks lads. I've just been going through, and deleting the hundreds of reference photo's I took which were held on computer to help me put it back together. I'll try and do some 'before and after' comparisons if I get chance. Looking back it's hard to remember how bad the car was originally, but it was pretty much worn out. I know the new retro theme might not appeal to everyone, but I hope that I've created something different, and also something that might also catch the eye of none 2cv-ers out there and create a little more interest amongst the general public, many who still see our cars as old wrecks. I also hope that I've given an insight into how things are done by a complete novice, warts an' all, mistakes and frustrations were shared, but in the end anyone currently thinking that they can't do work on their own cars might like to take another look at what can be achieved with the bare minimum of tools or equipment. Have a go! I'll be at the Haughton towers classic show later in the month so will see one or two forum members there, and will no doubt bump into more of you here and there through the course of the year. As I mentioned in an earlier post I'm not entirely done with this project yet as I've a spare motor to put new 9;0;1 barrels on, and mate it to the Dyane box that I have which will hopefully help out with the motorway work a little.

Well done Old Nail. Like so many others, I've really enjoyed reading this thread and seeing your car progress towards the superb end product. I can't wait to see it for real!

I can't add anything anybody else hasn't already said, it's superb, and one of the best threads on here.
Built, not bought.
