I knew that the charge rate was a little high on the Dyane but when Rachael claimed she could see smoke in the car yesterday, I told her she was imagining it. When we got home, I decided to have a quick look under the bonnet just to be on the safe side and found it'd boiled the new battery and been pouring it's liquid contents all over the exhaust and that's what Rachael saw! Whoops, my bad-sorry Rachael Perhaps I'll have a look at that when I do the clutch.................

Might get a bit of a break from decorating tomorrow (for those of you who are not aware, I feckin' hate decorating!) and replace the clutch and sort the overcharging out..............................
I may even fit a proper exhaust too.

hmm, lily was overcharing too.... we found out just in time! turned out the regulator was a little off.... she was only charging at about 17 volts........ was about 2 or 3 weeks before we found out too! considering i have a voltmeter inside which im sure doesnt read properly!
