Fixed and running sweet The nuts holding the manifold on the head had worked loose, all nice and tight again and sounding lovely._________________

   |   Re: My 2cvYeah Paul, looks good. I'm off up to Wroxeter Roman Museum in Shropshire on Saturday. There's a programme on Ch4 at present that shows a bunch of builders recreating an authentically built Roman villa and the finished structure is being officially opened to the public this weekend. Should be a good day out, if the weather is kind. _________________

   |   Re: My 2cvTook the 2CV to the Wye Knot 2CV pub meeting last night and it was okay till I was around 8miles from the pub and it started to lose power and cough and splutter I did manage to get to the pub and once there I sprayed some WD40 over the coil (it was raining quite heavily) and the drive home was faultless. Not too sure what the problem was, I use it in heavy rain on motorways and I've never had a problem with wet electrics, so who knows? I'm just happy it recovered. _________________

   |   Re: My 2cvGave the 2CV a fairly decent wash this morning and also removed the front seats and carpet to give the interior a good going over. I've fitted the BX GTi seats sans head-rests and took the car for a good 60+mile drive round the Malvern Hills/Ledbury with the hood open and what a fantastic day it's been. It's now back in the garage and waiting for Sunday morning when I'll fire it again and head for Abergavenny for the "Run-on-Hay" scenic convoy to Hay-on-Wye. _________________
