Post Re: 1968 Ami Club Break
I have a 2cv silencer on my Ami6, it's far too long, I'm sure Ami ones must be shorter.

As for the speedo, I think you may be right. The gearing on my Ami (standard ami box) seems much taller than a standard 2cv. the car is really slow accelerating or on hills, but flat out is faster than a fairly fast 2cv. I'm sure this must throw the speedo out a bit, but I might be wrong!

Glad you're enjoying Ami ownership, They are lovely old tools to use, all the benefits of a normal car but with 2cv simplicity!

Still love the car! Drives absolutley great!
Did some tiyding up in the garage, and found some nice things in the boxes with parts.
Some nice old stock valves:

Lovely - but no use for your car. Pre-64 M4 - yours is a normal M28, isn't it?

Mine should have a m28/AM2 engine in it, 35hp.
Now it has a regular 2cv engine in it, need to find out wich one. Too lazy to check the engine number. Original engine is in the garage. Will be refurbished and fitted in the car.

So M28, then - M4 is the one that looks like an old ripple 425, with the exhaust curling round the front of the fan.

I dunno what the difference between pre- and post-64 M4 engines are, for the valves - but can't imagine there's many pre-64 left. The M4 wasn't a high-point. Re-designing for the M28 was a very good thing.

Don't know either, but I do know there must be some people having a M4 engine in their car.
So the valves will be added to the parts-for-sale-list.

Well, we've got one in the Belgian AK350 - but it's post '64...
