Mmmmm, not sure yet Bri, when I get a couple of hours to myself and I've got all the bits together. May have to be sooner rather than later with the current rate of attrition of my motors! :o

I'll have to come up and take a look....even though it invariably ends up with me drinking all your coffee and disrupting your concentration with a stream of appaling sick jokes.

Hoping to hear from a chap fairly soon that fancies getting into 2CV racing. He happens to be a bit of an expert when it comes to building engines too......................

And I'm too lazy/ill/preoccupied with other cars to build my engine at this time of year! ;)

Oh yes, indeed-I do want to come and play but it's just too bloody cold to be building engines.

If this guy doesn't fancy doing it for me then it'll be time to put some newspaper down on the kitchen worktop....... ;)

Things are moving along. Slowly!

I'm taking the heads into work tomorrow to wash them off thoroughly in the parts washer and then it'll be time for reassembly. At this rate, there's half a chance it'll be running before the MOT expires in about 4 weeks............. 8-)

I spent ages last week in my cold garage fitting the new valves into my heads-would've been easier if I hadn't got sausage fingers and if my garage wasn't lit by one dying glow-worm but got it done in the end.

However, I procurred some replacement cylinder heads at the weekend (thanks Simon) so one night this week will see me removing the valves again and fitting them in the new heads. I may use the proper tool for refitting them this time though! 8-)

Finally stopped messing about and fitted the pistons and barrels!

Also fitted the new stem seals to the heads I had from Simon and tomorrow should see me putting my hand in my pocket and purchasing a valve spring compressor and getting the heads back together.

The clock's ticking, she's only got 23 days MOT left.............................. :o

I was too tight to buy a valve spring compressor and, as I had to go past work to get to Halfrauds or similar it occured to me that I should just pop in and borrow the one from work.

The heads are all fitted now, new braided oil pipes on, valve clearances set and cowlings cleaned thoroughly ready for refitting.

I *may* have this baby running again tomorrow night. Failing that, I'll have her running again before I head off for Cadwell on Friday. 8-)
