Re: 1988 Rust Pile-may be a race 2cv one day.................... Engine is now in pieces and I'm pleased to confirm that I wasn't imagining there was a problem with it. There's a piston that is bin fodder. The left hand piston has got rather hot at some point and bits of it have melted away into the ether! The rings were all fine though but it has scored the barrel good and proper so no wonder she was a bit gutless. Photos when I can find the appropriate bit of hardware to upload (is that right?) from my phone........................

Re: 1988 Rust Pile-may be a race 2cv one day.................... No mate, I have some machined barrels a la racers and a pair of good Dyane 9:1 pistons courtesy of Lukes old otherwise knackered engine.  Good times. With a bit of luck.
