 Re: My old Blue Bamboo
Ok so over the last few days I've been sat down and had a good talking too I'll tell you. The brains of the outfit has told me in no uncertain terms that there will be no Motorbikes, Crossfires, Cessna 172's or whatever else that took my fancy this quarter of the moon's cycle. Instead there will be a 'sensible' motor car like I hear some people do drive. So I let her do the choosing, and today I came home with one of these. The 2.0i SE Executive model no less. Unashamed decadent luxury. This thing has everything...except character, which is why I was already bored of it by the time I pulled into my drive. So there. Serves me right. I've spent the last couple of days (in between lectures) cleaning up the old Blubamboo, so now she's clean again and ready for her new owner. For those who are interested, or even just plain nosey the ebay listing is here. I didn't realise I'd written so much in the add, but there it is. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120686454363&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:ITI have nothing to do now but sit and wait. I do hope there won't be lots of dumb questions and messers, or worse still joyriders. The reserve is set just above what I was asking for it, and that's to cover for when ebay hold their hand out again for a final value fee on top of what they already took for listing it. Once it's sold I'll be getting off to pastures new I think, I need some new stimuli or I'll turn into a zombie. That's if the Honda doesn't get me first.

Will be sad to see you go from these pages. Good luck with the sale. I hope it goes to a good home. If I didn't have one already, I'd be seriously tempted, having seen all the effort and artistry you put into it.

 Re: My old Blue Bamboo
It...is...just...so... beautiful. What with that leather interior, wood cap... ok, only kidding. Good luck, O-N, both with the sale and everything that comes afterwards. OMG, it is a wonderful car . Oh, and enjoy the H*nda - soak up the comfort, quietness, power, handling, the fact it won't ever need anything done to it ever, the way it instantly fires up as if by thought, the warmth, the lack or rust, the anonymity... Appreciate these qualities while you can. Fair chance there'll come a day when you'll look back on your time with the H*nda with some affection. From the seat of your latest classic.

 Re: My old Blue Bamboo
I think that wood is plastic DA. Most likely from a sustainable forest of plastic trees. I see also our friend Hardy is clearly in need of guidance, possibly even a double entendre - So I'll give him one. hardy wrote: “AND ye, ye sinners should be cast out of the temple, you shamefully tell filthy jokes for all us innocents to read and be corrupted by so that we may fall into hell with you. Oh Lord save us.” Readeth ye, of the ancient oxymoron known as the Good Book. Does it not say that the wages of sin is death? I hear the pope is likely to die soon and can't help wondering what he’s been up to? I have long since come to the conclusion that as all sinners are repaid by death, and as every living thing dies, then why fight a losing battle – just sin and enjoy yourself! hardy wrote: “And on a further ecclesiastical note may i seek your advice I am a 67 year old man and i have recently met a beautiful young Bulgarian woman called Lolitta. We met three weeks ago at a lap dancing club in the docks area of Hastings where she is starring as Mamoiselle La Sensualle. She is only 21 but i love her and age as far as i am concerned makes no difference, I am sure she loves me. She is actually an heiress to a Bulgarian diamond dynasty but unfortunately has fallen on hard times. I have decided to marry her but unfortunately my local curate is being very obstinate and is not prepared to marry us. Their is very little guidance in this part of the world concerning these things so i turn to you my very wise and distinguished friends for any help and advice you can give. I have searched in the forums for a "ask Marjorie" thread but there is nothing(time for the mods to set one?). I am certain that at least some of you will have experienced a similar dilemma so any help you can give will be so welcome.”
ps Lolitta sends love and kisses to all you older men.
Dear Friend, I can only congratulate you on finding love again at 67, especially with a lap-dancer. She will look great when up that ladder cleaning the windows. I completely understand that there are some narrow minded curates about too, some are about as genuine as a Bulgarian diamond mine. My advice to you would be to introduce Lollita to our many British customs, in order that she feels more at home. Of particular importance is to explain the British custom of the man staying out late with his mates. Explain that this is perfectly natural behaviour, and it should be encouraged. The male is a hunter, and he needs to prove his prowess with other men. A night out chasing young single girls is a great stress relief and can foster a more peaceful and relaxing home environment. Nothing will rekindle your relationship better than the man being away for a day or two (it’s a great time for her to clean the house too) See how relaxed and happy he is when he returns to his stable home. The best thing to do when he gets home is for her and her best friend to perform oral sex on him. Then cook him a nice meal. I hope this has been of some help. Yours sincerely, Old-Nail.

 Re: My old Blue Bamboo
The fog lamp not working is summat and nowt. As is the high beam indicator but I'm crap at electrics. I've had a lot of questions about the car although I've not bothered to show them as many contain phone numbers. Currently 133 watchers, though a good many will be you lot! Prices are stupid. A Charleston went off this morning at £5235 and it wasn't as clean as mine. There's a nice chap just been from the isle of man. He's test driven the car and liked it enough to offer me a very good price on the spot. I'd like him to have it, I kinda like the idea of the old Blubamboo retiring to the isle of man, but it would be unfair to stop the auction. There's one consolation to getting more for it than I thought too, I might now be able to buy a cheap Dyane to run as well as the new Honda.
