I think one of the 2 bearings in the dynamo is starting to die after almost 3 years (rebuild the dynamo is jan. 2007 because of a dead bearing).
When I'm driving with the gaspedal halfway, the car sounds like it has a turbo. When I take my foot of the pedel the whistling sounds goes away..
Saturday I'll check everything and if it is the dynamo is put another one in and rebuild the current one again.

Post Re: My pick-up
update...
Since last christmas i didn't use the car because of a flat battery... Onme day i wanted to go to work and the car wont start. After a while the battery was dead and in my opinion it was too cold to do something about it (snow, snow, snow).

Today bought a new battery, coil, spark plugs + cables, and a new alternator..

Put it all on the right place in the car and it started after some seconds..
I'm happy.. No more public transport to go to work --> get out of bed later!

This happened to me too! I could not get into the car at all, and when I did the bonnet was frozen shut and I couldn't put the choke on!

Today the choke didn't work.. Loose bolt on the carb where the chokecable is fixed.
Bolt comes loose every now and then. Hole is a bit bigger than normal. Put a longer bolt in it and everything works again..

Post Re: My pick-up
After yesterdays meeting my brakes started to make noise during braking.. After some checking with Punky it was obvious my brakepads are totaly worn (1mm of brakepad left)...
At my parents house (few KM from meetingplace) I had some old, but usable brakepads. Tried fitting them, on one calliper they were easy to mount. On the other one the brakecilinder did'ny want to move to make place for a thicker pad.
Changed the calliper for a better one. Bled the breaks, after demolishing a bleedingvalve and fit a better one..

Testrun: it does brake but not as usual... So left the car at my parents house to rebuild the front brakes next weekend. Orderd all parts today, dad is going to pick them up tomorrow.
Everything will be replaced, besides the callipers, they will be refuribished and cleaned.
So: new discs, pads, handbrakepads, front brake fluid pipes, new bleedingvalve..
Got some work to do ;)

And the moral of the story is not to let your pads get so low.
