Possible NEW project, (just what I need....)
Hi Folks, Been a while....You may recall my AZU250 rebuild Van, is fine, sees the light of day fairly often and earned its keep recently shifting junk ..... Well, I now find myself looking at an '85 Saloon project Its failed its MOT, needing a load of welding (?).....As far as I can see, floor, sills are done and its on a galv chassis. I need a closer look but can only assume rear bump stops are shot, (what else when it has chassis ) Trouble is, I don't have enough space ! Van will have to go to a mates driveway, new project in garage till MOT work done and then it can go back out on street to become a rolling resto...... Any other MOT fail rusty bits I should be looking at ?

Generally, where ever a section of metal is welded to another section of metal. Though with a 2CV it's all the bits inbetween as well Check out the boot, and spare wheel well. Bonnet hinge, and area around the vent flap. Sills, and especially where the front wings bolt on. Inner rear wings. We expect images of the rebuild

Picked it up this morning......Drove straight to test center...... Drives just fine apart from a wee misfire now and again. The car has been sitting out in the open for nearly a year so I was expecting a few issues. Fail list is not too bad ! -leaky shocker -blowing exhaust -a few lights out -handbrake low All in all, not bad at all some fettling, new exhaust and we are legal again so I will be able to park it on the road while I deal with some cosmetic issues. (The pics make it look better than it is !!) https://imgbb.com/
