It's celebration time for my Dad's 1985 blue Special, which today went over 200,000 miles - all on its original engine and gearbox. It lives outside and is used daily, all year round. Proof, as if it were needed, that 2cvs are still perfectly sensible and capable year-round first cars! Happy 200K! ![]() |

Looks great - old Cits always last and go so much better when used. Has she had much replaced? |

Bits around the rear end, and bonnet hinge. Some panels have been replaced with 2nd hand ones - apart from the front wings, which were new a couple of years ago. So a fair chunk of it's been replaced! But in essence it's the same car as it was in 1985, and mechanically it virtually entirely is. |

What you say there made me think of Trigger getting an award for his 20-year old road sweeper's broom that's had 17 new heads and 14 new handles. ![]() But still, same motor so good show. ![]() |
