Thanks Chris I will see if my paint shop can find the formula for a couple of the early greys. They only have Gris Rose AC136 ( Wheel colour) on their computer. They can colour match by eye but then can't reverse calculate and provide a formula for re mixing later... ('cos of adding little bits here and there to achieve an eye match.) I will investigate further using the Cats list. Cheers Bob |

Thanks again. Taskos, the matchcolour app looks good but I will need to get a friend to load it as I am using Apple/iphone! I'll be a bit more specific. I have an AZU Van( about 1970/71) that is a light blue/grey and I think from the show-through of red primer that it is probably the original colour? However during conversion to RHD ( or rust removal) it has obviously had a bulkhead panel from a "Bamboo" (-green )....and during numerous repairs /touch ups the colour now varies as each paint job gets eye-matched. The doors only, show a similar colour underneath to the '55 photo I posted. I expect then that they may have been replaced ? Anyway it is time for a total repaint and given that it has a 602/disc brakes etc it probably is not "original" and so I don't care if it changes colour although I would like to keep it a Citroen colour. I happen to like the more" industrial warm-grey" ( vs the "cold" greys seen on Charlestons etc) for the commercial vehicle ( see new photo/link) ...hence my request to find out a paint code for this. Again, any assistance gratefully received Cheers Bob |

Could it be AC 132 Gris Clair? The lighting when the picture was taken and screen setup change the visible colours on the laptop. I know my van will get AC 132 treatment in the (hopefully) near future ![]() |

Some more links: http://users.skynet.be/vincent.beyaert/ ... ancier.htm http://www.dsidclubdefrance.net/pages/nuancierid.htm And as you started talking about "warm" and "industrial" color qualities you may find this very interesting: http://www.nuancierds.fr/danchorama.htm |

Thanks Rustman and Taskos I will see if I can get some samples mixed if they can find the formulae. Taskos the DS link is very interesting to me as I have a Low Km. '74/5 DS23 EFI 5-speed Pallas that I have owned for about 35 years! ( as second owner ) Bought it from a Medical Doctor. It is in Borely Ivory ....which is a similar colour to a urine -soaked baby's nappy...I don't like it The interior was blue velour but under the harsh Australian sun it rotted like most others. I had it re-trimmed in tan velour ( should have gone all the way with Tabac leather). It is also due for a repaint and now that the interior is no longer original..neither is the car. Again I will choose an appropriate period citroen colour and your link is very appropriate ...thanks Bob |
