peugeot speedfight, 2cv, 2cv along side C90, 2cv along side 106, now 2cv with the hilux

regret selling the c90,the speedfight was aPOS which i blew the engine on and had to rebuild

the 106 was maarvelous. go in and drive anywhere for a pittance

First drives..mk1 fiesta and series 1 landrover, first on the road 1972 morris minor pick-up.

I was sat on a 1950[?}Sunbeam S8 motorcycle at the tender age of about 10yo [about 1960]....my Dad said "This is the,clutch,theres the gears,theres the brakes,now drive it"
After a succession of 'bikes [throughout the '60's] I married my dear wife [in 1973] .....who wanted a car ....the nearest thing to a motorcycle on four wheels I could equate to was a Citroen Dyane [wifey's friends husband had just bought a brand new 1974 Dyane6]
So I bought her a 1971 Dyane4 ....we both learned to drive in it ....and then traded in for a brand new 1975 Dyane6 [which I stripped for pares in 1995] ...we've had a few Dyanes since then ...but I bought my present 2CV in 1988 when I heard they [Citroen] were gonna stop production.
Forty years of "A" series driving .... Oh yeah,that reminds me,it's our 40th wedding aniversary this month ....btw,she drives a Daewoo now ....anyone know a good divorce lawyer???

i had a morris minor pickup too the guy that owned it was in jail :lol: his wife sold it to me for £8-50 :) :)
i had a series one landrover too a 1952or3 ill post a pic/pics
it had a 1900 engine , i replaced it with a 2.2

First thing I ever drove was my dad's 1976 Chevrolet Impala in the desert in Kuwait when I was seven. I had to sit on his knee to reach the pedals. By the time I was eleven I'd graduated to hammering the Land Rover we then owned around the sand dunes on my own. First thing I drove - legally - on the road was my first 2cv.
