Anyone bought off Harrington for their 2cv?
I bought stainless bumpers from them for my 61beetle, and was very impressed with them, but I had seen a set at Tatton park classic car show fitted to an immaculate 1960 jet black beetle.
I haven't seen a 2cv on the road for years, let alone a 2cv with stainless bumpers.
There interiors look very good, but take the stance of "what Citroen should have done", so not in original style!
Any opinions?
Bumpers area£229
Interiors in single colour also £229, £13 extra for two tone.
Other than that, does anyone sell decent quality bumpers?

I've seen them before, their products look very good quality. I've never bought from them though.

Granted, I've bought a few parts off them and been pleased with the purchase , but I don't see front bumpers in stainless? They list them for the Dyane, but ont say they ft the 2cv
Plus, add £60 for over riders, plus £10 for the tape, against top quality stainless for £229,

Stainless steel bumpers on a 2CV look out of place, so wrong.

I haven't seen one with them on, so can't really say?
The only original ones I've seen have been rusted and dented, stainless I thought may be a bit more robust!
Maybe not!

I'd like some stainless ones that look identical to the standard ones.

I do find it a bit frustrating to buy standard bumpers and watch them rust before my eyes.
I've tried all sorts to make them last longer (paint, seam sealer, cavity wax etc) but they still rust as soon as they see moisture. The problem is the seam on the top of the front bumper that you can't get into with paint or whatever.I see the Harrington bumpers do away with this seam.

I wonder what they'd look like if they were etch primed and painted Gris Rose with the standard black bumper tape?

Hi Hannahman58,

I fitted a set two winters ago, covers and door cards, and am very pleased with them and since these pics were taken (Feb 2012) they've settled down beautifully with no creasing now. They fit right over the existing covers (slightly oversize cut) but you'll need the cover retaining bars at the front of each seat so don't bin these!
