I had been watching this site develop over the last few months and was persueded whilst at Waggel to join in. You never know being an old fart I might have some words of wisdom to impart.
After joining I noticed the donate now treasure chest at the foot of the page and coughed up a few bob as I know sites cost money to host and develope and I suspect a few guys are out of pocket already.
Bit surprised to see I am the only one....
Just a couple of quid from everyone would help a lot. Most people have a PayPal account [how else do you buy stuff of Ebay].
So go on, one less pint tonight, a few less fags, two litres of petrol less. You know it makes sense.

If this were to happen, i think the donate now, is only towards this forum (the company). Were currently looking into getting more space elsewhere. (Adrian knows about this bit)

Hey Griff,

first of all thanks for joining up - it's good to have you here, even if you are an 'old fart' :lol: ;)

Thanks also for the donation to the 'community chest' - yours was indeed the first donation we have received. As Max says - the donation would appear to be only redeemable against upgrades with freeforums. It's things like the T-shirts & stickers that we are finding hard to fund. It's surprising just how expensive these things are when you start looking into it!

Rest assured your generous donation will be put to good use. Thanks again. :)

In which case why not setup a PayPal account so that uses can cough a quid into. I am sure everyone who uses the site wouldn't begrudge a quid to help with costs.

So why not throw a quid in to the Forum in appreciation of the quality signatures then ? Set up a Paypal account and I will stretch to a quid beng a generous Derbyshire bloke, old fart, bald bloke and all.

There are indeed plans to get the forum moved away from this 'ere pikeyhosting to some proper spiffy shiny hosting - and, whilst funds are required for the t-shirts and the like, there's going to be some money needed to get all the data away from notsofreeforums - so it's certainly not gone to waste! (Probably)
