Woo hoo ...back in the fold again.
Just bought Luke's Cote d' Azur on Ebay ... will be picking it up next Saturday with any luck. That gives me the week to get one of my many ridiculous 4x4s moved on. Anyone want a Daihatsu Fourtrak?

Russell wrote: Pics, info and price on Fourtrak please! OK ...it's a 1991 leaf sprung Fourtrak - eligible for classic insurance, would you believe - without the horrible wide arches later ones had. It's had a new calliper and various bushes on the front, it could do with new rear shockers (although they went through the MOT no problem) and the foglight isn't wired up to the towbar socket, which I might try and sort before it goes if it stops raining for five minutes on end. I've also given it a recent service with all new filters. It had a new clutch and a complete gearbox rebuild 15000 miles or so ago, it's MOTd till the end of January 2013 and I'll stick 6 months' tax on it before it goes so it'll be taxed to <counts on fingers and toes> ... the end of October. It's the non turbo model so is slow but bulletproof and actually reasonably economical at 34 or 35 mpg. I've only ever run it on "proper" diesel, but I'm sure you could run it on old engine oil, chip fat, brake fluid or whatever if you wanted. There's no serious rot on it, although the chassis could do with another coat of waxoyl. I don't really know what it's worth, but I could do with getting the £820 I've paid for Luke's Dyane, or at least something like.

I was pretty keen but once she went passed the £700 mark I knew I'd be pushing it. Glad she's staying 'in the fold' anyway. And we get you back. Winwin.

As it turns out, you didn't bid against me anyway. I turned up eight seconds before the end and stuck a speculative bid in, not expecting to win it at all. But I'm glad I did.

Diahatsu is a bit old for what the mother in law wanted, but if I didn't have the van/no money/more space/too many 2cvs Id be interested myself.
