I've posted this on the 2cvgb forum, but as the pictures are international pics taken by a former 2cvgb Ami Registrar, Barrie James they deserve to be additionally shared on the international forum.

Most of the pictures appear to be of a World Meeting in the early 1980's, there's not a D*lly in sight and only a couple of Charleston's, including a two tone blue variant. A number of Mercedes grille horrors are present and some really imaginative paint schemes. I've tagged the photos to show UK number plates to make searching easier. Other convenient tags such as Bijou, modcon, Acadiane and similar have been added.

The last few pictures show one of many runs which Barrie and his friends made to Belgium to purchase and import Acadianes to the UK.

AMY 169H currently resides in Graham Wilsons yard in Callington, Cornwall. It started life as a Slough Built! It's running an M4 engine and loads of other mods including being converted to LHD!! Graham saved it from a scrapyard in Totnes, Devon - Paid £20 for it! It was originally modified back in the mid to late 70's by Tony Slade (one of 2cvgb's founder members and one time 2cv cross driver & owner of Cheval Vapeur in Chelmsford). I spotted a picture on Flickr and recognised it(this one)

looked through his album & found a phone number for his new citroen repair business in Ipswich. Spoke to him & he filled me in on all the details. He was pretty gobsmacked to find out that it was still in existence!

Great that AMY still exists and the instant collaborative research effort is very impressive. Shame it's lost practically all the unique features of a Slough-built though. Is it the same ripple which Graham saved a year or so ago from that rebuilder in North Devon who went bust (Rob Merevale?)?

I think it's made easier because there was only one bogbusters car, so it must've been that one!
