Spent a large part of today fettling 'Blossy' in preparation for the MOT on Monday morning. Discovered the rear fog lamp was busted. In fact I don't know how it passed last year cos it was in a pretty poor state. Fortunately Halfords still sell them (albeit pretty rubbishy 'Ring' brand) so fitted it and tidied up the wiring and ran a new earth. Greased all the nipples with the front off the ground on axle stands. Replaced the slightly weeping carburettor top gasket. Topped up the dry washer bottle and fitted new wiper blades which Ken kindly gave me at Oxford last year in exchange for the loan of a camping stove. Couldn't leave Ken without the means of a brew could I? ![]() Checked the lights. Then out for a road test. Brakes are good. Tyres are nearly new Michelins. Now, I bet I have forgotten something. ![]() |
