Pinched off Facepalm: Quote: The last time I read a lot about all kinds of barn finds, of Bugatti's in France to a Panhard in America, but now we have one yourself that is certainly worthwhile. In Montpellier we have a 2cv AZAM from ' 66 found with only 11,000 km on the counter. He was ordered by m. on 5 april ' 66, just returned from Algeria and Boschard retired, ready to go to enjoy. This luxurious duck seemed to him therefor the sensible transport. The duck was ordered on 30 March and 6 april, already manufactured that his was immediately delivered another short lines. M. Boschard reed there regularly in the neighborhood until he got a small mishap in ' 69, he hit a kerb which left front wheel was damaged. The damage to the duck was immediately repaired, but the biggest damage was listed at the self-confidence of the driver. He no longer trusted his sight and decided to stop the duck. Witness the maintenance should this refreshed between July – oil-tickets and October – battery loaded-happens. The duck was parked in a garage, where the rubbers with talcum powder and other matters were treated with oil, it was clear already that the duck would still some remain. The approach was that of a man who knew what he was doing, he was still in the 1920s Bugatti-mechanic, the evidence were the with EB in the garage next to the highlighted tools that hung duck. The duck was to claim Regelmaatig, but the man died in ' 73. Hereinafter saw his son as his duty to "LA voiture de famille" to preserve. This he has done recently to even up ' 99, whereby he again paid the Tax each year. All are present, as well as the Bon de Commande vignettes, the delivery invoice, various maintenance invoices, the logbook and still necessary to dated paper. Everything is apparently treasured, therefore the selling cousin called it un objet de culte: la relique du grand père. Presumably by the death of the son, and the realization that this piece had to be nurtured further culture, he was offered for sale. We sat by a tip on top of there and we have the duck can purchases via a French friend. Now he is here, still under the dust of years, a little rust here and there. But with a brand new inside that when entering feels like a time machine. The paperwork and lie neatly on the parcel shelf, lamps set the cric neatly wrapped with a jute bag and a towel next to it for the dirty hands at the oil gauge. Cool sixties covers about the still Virgin red banks and transfer a red headrest as icing on the cake. Also a wonderful detail is the necklace that the duck was at the garage, the padlock is anchoring and the thickness of the necklace are so fragile that you had with a household scissors for liberation, but what a wonderful gesture. On the photos is to see that the nephew his captivity, after which the duck beeïndigde ceremoieel for the first time since ' 69 in the outside light came. The Bugatti-tools we got sorry ... ... We have already found a new Treasurer, he arrives at the other treasures in the museum of Edwin Green. Over time, he is there to admire, once we have found a beautiful way to preserve his dusty locker. In the meantime enjoy the photos in attached photo book. ![]() https://picasaweb.google.com/1124983386 ... irectlink# http://www.2cvgarage.nl/vanalles/nieuws/index.php |
