Post subject:  Bumpers!

Bumpers,my 87 dollys got original front bumper roughly 2 and a half inches tall
and no back bumper just a tubular bull bar,bought a back bumper off fleebay
right shape and all but 4 and a half inches tall,will fit it anyway just wondering
which models/years had taller bumper or is it off a dyane or why :?: :?: :?

There are two types, the narrow, about 8cm width and a wider one at about 12cm.Dyanes had chromed wide bumpers, charlestons had silver but wide rear bumpers, Dollys and post 84/5 specials had the standard wide rear bumper. So did clubs, and the original 2cv6s but I think they had the thick rubber insert. It was only pre - 85 specials that had the narrower rear bumper.

Later Dyanes had stainless, not chrome bumpers. You will need to get hold of the bumper brackets as I suspect your tubular bumper has brackets incorporated into it. There are two types of bracket dependent on the bumper (narrow/wide).

My 86 D reg special had the narrow rear bumper originally.
