Captured at this year's Mooneyes Christmas Party at Irwindale Speedway in the US, check out this utterly EVIL Ford Galaxie 'Gasser'. This style of car was popular in the early-mid 1960's and for me represents the zenith of drag racing history. The almost comedy rearwards rake was to aid weight transfer to the rear wheels off the line as despite power outputs of over 600bhp becoming commonplace from the 7-litre V8, tyre technology hadn't yet caught up.
Another 'Gasser' style dragstrip refugee, only this time based on what I think is an early 50's Chevy panel van.
INCREDIBLE 'Kustom' Ford F-100 pickup truck. This one's got the lot. Scalloped paint, airbag suspension (at a guess!), roofchop.....fantastic.
