Post subject:  So I bought me a 2CV.....

Hi Folks,

I got my 2CV today after a break of around 20 yrs.....

Been driving around today, rediscovering the Love :) Weather has been crap, but it was still a lot of fun !

Its in excellent condition, galv chassis etc etc. I'll post pics later. Few small issues to sort out.

Think I have a noisy front wheel bearing.....OK on the straight, but noisy when steering wheel is turned right ......

I'm reasonably capable and have the equipment but I've been reading up on replacement, and it seems like a pretty involved job, special tools etc....Any specialists or enthusiasts in Scotland capable of doing the job for me?? I'm near Glasgow

Looking forward to meeting some of you soon !

Cheers
Gerry

Well, it rained most of the day, but me and the wife managed a hundred miles today, just retracing routes we used to use 20 hrs ago...just like the old days!

Car now tucked up in the garage :)

Sounds good but, reckon you should try retracing routes from 20 years ago-that would be fun! ;)
