there is one 2cv owner being robbed on ebay in 17 hours - not even 4000 Dollars for a beautiful Red!

Not too far from me - possibly about the right price though, esp. on the original chassis from 1990.

he's not getting robbed-he can always not sell, its his choice.
He will get what someone is willing to pay, and here in the UK that can be silly money for a nice one

Most people are busy complaining 2cv prices are way too high at the moment...

Most Portuguese 2cvs had new chassis when they were very young - often for the first MOT, at three years old- but that's still on the original - and are those the tell-tale kinks in the triangular panels?

What can we do?
All club together an give the seller what he wants?
All chip in with false bids to put the price up?thats not fair on the hopefully new and enthusiastic owner. keep watching itll get a good price perhaps not as much as aus prices but then its supply and demand

Off on a tangent here, but there was a lovely orange drummer on ebay last year. P-reg. One owner from new. Went for £700! Still cross with myself for not buying it.
I'd suggest that 15000 for a 2cv is a bit high, and that you might be able to build one from scratch for cheaper... come to think of it, I wonder how much one WOULD cost to build from scratch, with parts sourced as new, or new reconditioned? (I feel an afternoon buggering around on ECAS coming on!)

If description matches the car 15.000 AU Dollars is too low. Remember the neár new sold at Shannons auctions last year, went for $ 40.000 :o
